I Love Idiots: Part 2

Posted by Tony Barrett on July 20, 2007 9:14 PM |

Some clown called Lewis thinks you're not English unless you hate Muslims and love the BNP.
He sent me this message in reply to my rant about having no time for the England national team:
"This is pathetic. You have no right to call yourself English anyway, you should move to Scotland or Wales or better yet Germany.
"With all of England's history I am ashamed people like you exist. It's bad enough have all these muslims in England hating us and killing us without people like you joining their side.
Up the BNP."

What confuses me most about people like Lewis is they claim to be patriots but then show support for the kind of fascism which this country and others stood up to during World War Two.

I'm ashamed that there are still people like him in this country.

Thanks Tony. I'm half Indian, my dad's Sikh, Mum's Scouse, I grew up in Toxteth and Crosby, and these people frighten me.

One other thing. In the Talksport phone in after Carra dropped his number, the amount of cockneys phoning in cursing Scousers was incredible. There was one Millwal fan whose voice was shaking with hatred, calling Scousers traitors and scum, making generalisations, the hatred in his voice was incredible, the level of nasty nationalistic fanaticism. I said to a non Scouse mate that when a team wins a European Cup, for the city that the team comes from it's like winning the World Cup, and Liverpool have won a World Cup five times in the last 30 years, and England have done jack and never will. Why the hell would a Liverpudlian even need to invest emotion and support in England?
