With all this talk of tickets, ballots, flights and hotels it seems to have been forgotten that there is a fairly important football match taking place in Athens on Wednesday night.
For the past week or so the game itself has been treated like something of an after thought, which is incredible when you consider it is a European Cup final not a friendly.
The time for recriminations over the ticket fiasco has now passed. I know it's easy for me to say that when I've got a ticket but the most important thing now is that we get right behind the lads as they endeavour to win a magnificent sixth European Cup.
If the ill-feeling that's been flying around ever since ballotgate transfers itself to Athens then we will only be aiding the Milan cause.
There are very real divisions between the club and some of its most loyal fans at the moment but a European Cup final is no place for them to be displayed.
The atmosphere when we played Charlton on Sunday was horrible. It should have been one of those special Anfield occasions where we give the players the send off they deserve.
But it didn't turn out like that because so many of us were, quite rightly, simmering with anger and resentment.
Make no mistake about it, the club got the message that day. It is now up to them to turn our concerns into positive action on their behalf so that we never go through a ticket fiasco like this one ever again.
We've registered our displeasure and the point has been forcibly made so allowing ballotgate to affect our mood in Athens would serve no useful purpose.
Istanbul showed just what can be achieved when the unity of fans and players is at its most powerful, if he same thing happens in Athens we might, just might, secure a sensational number six.
So let's get behind the lads.
